William 'Bill' George Fotta

January 31, 1954 — August 19, 2025

Magnolia

Born on January 31, 1954, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Bill was the son of the late Elizabeth and Frank Fotta. He grew up as the middle of three brothers, alongside Frank Fotta and Mike Fotta. His family moved to California for a few years and eventually settled in Wadsworth, Ohio, where he graduated from Wadsworth High School in 1972. After high school, Bill followed his dream of living in Texas, where he made his home in Magnolia and raised his family.

Bill is survived by his daughter, Sebrina (Fotta) Kilgore, and her husband, Rusty Kilgore; his son, William “Billy” Fotta Jr.; his brothers, Frank and Mike; and his beloved grandchildren: Kaden Carr, Laney Kilgore, and Brandon Fotta. He also leaves behind many cousins, nieces, nephews, and bonus grandkids. He will forever be remembered as a proud father, brother, friend, and “Pepaw,” who never missed a chance to remind his kids and grandkids how proud he was and how much he loved them.

Those who knew Bill will remember him as the life of the party! A jokester with quick wit, unmatched sarcasm, and some unforgettable dance moves. He was mechanically gifted and could tear down and rebuild anything with a motor. A lifelong Pittsburgh Steelers fan, he carried his love for the black and gold wherever he went.

Bill’s humor and stubborn streak live on in his daughter Sebrina, while his mechanical know-how continues through his son Billy. His grandchildren carry forward little pieces of him as well: Laney and Kaden with his famously big feet, and Brandon with his height. His nieces, nephews, and bonus grandkids also carry his spirit in the laughter he shared with them and the love he showed every time they were together. His legacy will carry on through the family he loved so deeply.

Though his presence will be profoundly missed, Bill’s laughter, stories, and love will remain in the hearts of all who knew him. Until we meet again.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to donate to the “Foot the Bill” fund in Bill’s honor. Inspired by his famously big feet and even bigger heart, this fund will support families in need of help covering cremation expenses through Just Cremation Texas. It’s a way to carry forward Bill’s love, generosity, and humor, spreading kindness the same way he spread laughter everywhere he went. Donations can be made via Venmo (@Sebrina-Kilgore) or CashApp ($Sebrinakilgore), please be sure to add a note that says “Foot the Bill.”
