It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Wesley Gray Shuford IV, who passed away on July 10, 2026, at the age of 69, in Conroe, Texas.
Wesley lived a life defined by kindness, generosity, and an unwavering love for his family and the outdoors. He was known for his patient nature, friendly spirit, and sense of fairness. Those who knew him will remember his warm smile, steady presence, and willingness to lend a helping hand whenever it was needed.
He found great joy in nature and cherished the time he spent fishing, watching storms roll across the sky, hunting quail and ducks, and skiing. Whether he was on the water, in the field, or enjoying the beauty of the outdoors, Wesley felt most at home surrounded by God’s creation. His appreciation for the natural world was something he eagerly shared with family and friends.
Above all else, Wesley was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Jenny Shuford; his children, Wesley Gray Shuford V, Karina Shuford, Genesis Fears, and Camely Shuford; his sisters Kathy Delaney, Suzonne Shuford Bechtold; and his cherished grandchildren, Noah Fears, Liam Arnold Shuford, Luca Fears, Jonah Arnold Shuford, and Mila Fears. He also leaves behind many extended family members, dear friends, and all whose lives were enriched by knowing him.
Wesley’s legacy is one of compassion, integrity, and quiet strength. He showed those around him the value of patience, fairness, and generosity through the way he lived each day. His love for his family, his passion for the outdoors, and the countless memories he created will continue to inspire those who knew and loved him.
