Ted Vernon Bosserman passed away on August 8, 2025 at the age of 78in Houston, TX. A devoted husband, beloved father and grandfather, and friend to many, Ted was always fun to be around. Ted was born November 11, 1946 in Cincinnati, OH. He grew up as the oldest of 4 siblings. Ted worked at his family’s gas station in high school, where he developed a life-long skill set of working on vehicles. Upon graduating, Ted was drafted, but instead chose to enlist and proudly served his country in the Army in Vietnam from 1966-1969. During his time with the US Army, he married his wife, Scherry Caroline Wallace, on June 21, 1968 at Groesbeck Methodist Church in Cincinnati, OH. After serving in Vietnam, he and Scherry then moved to Houston, TX. You could f ind him most weekends at the house, working on friends’ cars in the garage. Ted also enjoyed visiting the beaches along the Texas Gulf Coast. He was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon E. & Marian Bosserman, and younger sister, Judy Wesley. He is survived by his wife of 57 years Scherry of Cypress,TX ; daughter Jennifer Moore (Brandon) of Bryan, TX; 2 grandsons, Austin & Christian Moore; his sister Joan King (Jimmie) of Cypress; brother Terry Bosserman (Gerry) of Findlay OH; sister-in-law Catherine Stein (Fred) of Loveland, OH; sister-in-law Charlene Signorino (Charles) of Brookshire, TX; as well as many nieces and nephews. The family would like to express heartfelt gratitude to the many compassionate doctors and nurses at Memorial Hermann Cypress Hospital and caregivers at Heart to Heart Hospice. A military memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 8th at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston TX 77038. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Heart to Heart Hospice Center at 2930 Cypress Grove Meadows Dr, Houston, TX 77014.
