Ricky was a remarkable individual whose warm spirit and gift of gab touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. He was down-to-earth, humorous, and effortlessly funny often making light of situations even when they weren’t. No matter how someone was feeling, even in moments of sadness, Ricky had a way of drawing out a laugh. His laughter and lightheartedness were a true gift, and his playful spirit brought comfort and joy, even during life’s hardest moments.

An incredibly hardworking man, Ricky took great pride in caring for those he loved. He was known for his humor and playful nature always joking, making goofy faces, and finding ways to make others smile. His strength, resilience, and ability to lift others up left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

Ricky Johnson was born on May 14, 1971, in Houston, Texas, and departed this life on January 8, 2026, surrounded by love. Though his time here was far too short, his impact was immeasurable. His memory will live on through the love he gave, the laughter he shared, and the countless lives he brightened.

Above all, Ricky was a devoted husband and father. He is survived by his loving wife, Natasha Johnson, and his beloved children, Ashley Johnson and Ricky Johnson III, Chelci Johnson and Dreon Johnson. 

Ricky is further survived by his mother, Joann Tolbert, and her husband, Arthur Tolbert; his father, Ricky Johnson Sr., and his wife, Joanne; his sister Tammy Mcrae; his step-sisters Alicia Summers and Denita Morris; his grandmother, Jane Johnson; his stepchildren, Chreal, Brooklyn, Rodney, Rochelle, Damien, and Tierra; and many extended family members and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
