Priscilla Mae Kastner (Teresa Kaye Warwick), lovingly known to her family and friends as Mae, left this world on January 5, 2026, in Sugar Land, Texas. She was born on October 28, 1953, in Little Rock, Arkansas, and her journey through life was defined by her boundless love for family, her fierce determination, and her ever-present sense of humor.
Mae was a proud graduate of Dulles High School, a foundation from which she cultivated a vibrant life filled with warmth and kindness. She never shied away from a challenge and was always up for an adventure, displaying an unyielding spirit that inspired those around her. Her welcoming nature extended far beyond her immediate family, as she embraced her children's friends as her own, creating an extended family that benefited from her love and compassion.
Her greatest joy came from the moments spent with her family. Known for her culinary skills, she delighted in preparing large meals during the holidays, where her homemade rolls became a cherished family favorite. These gatherings were not just about food; they were a celebration of togetherness, laughter, and the creation of unforgettable memories.
Mae's hobbies showcased her eclectic interests and generous heart. She had a love for reading, often losing herself in the pages of a good book. She relished cooking for her family, finding joy in every dish she prepared. An avid treasure hunter at heart, she could never turn down a good garage sale, flea market, or antique store, always on the lookout for something special to share with her loved ones.
In the face of adversity, Mae demonstrated remarkable resilience. After suffering multiple health setbacks in 2024, she confronted her challenges with courage and grace, enduring a lengthy hospitalization. Throughout these trials, her strength was a testament to her character, forever willing to help others, and reminding us all of her proudest accomplishments.
Mae was the cornerstone of her family, leaving behind a legacy of love and laughter. She is survived by her beloved children: Kathryn Stone and her husband Bryan, Robert Syzdek and his wife Katherine, Angela Barri and her husband Eduardo, and Elizabeth Raiford and her husband Raymond. She adored her grandchildren—Lauren Syzdek, Arianna Barri, Krystian Stone, Cooper Syzdek, Kailey Stone, and Casey Syzdek—who brought immense joy to her life. Mae was also a cherished great-grandmother to Henry Corredor, Colton Syzdek, Genevieve Bellerose, and Samara Rabaya.
She is further survived by her brother Randy Warwick, sister Charleah Ruland, and stepbrother Tommy Watson, along with numerous nieces and nephews who fondly remember her loving spirit and generous heart. Mae is preceded in death by her parents, Ida Kathryn Kennedy and Billy Jewell Warwick, along with a blended family of loved ones—her stepmother, Lila Beck; stepsiblings Tony Watson, Larry Watson, and Connie Watson; her sister-in-law Kerri Warwick; her granddaughter, Riley Syzdek; her niece, Chazney Hamel; and her dear sister by choice, Becky Marshall. Each of these departed family members held a special place in Mae’s heart, and she often recalled fond memories with them that brought both laughter and solace.
