A proud graduate of Smiley High School, Pedro embarked on a career that began with the Southern Pacific Railroad before ultimately retiring as a longshoreman in Houston, Texas. His strong work ethic and commitment to his job were reflected in his family-first attitude, always prioritizing his loved ones above all else. He was a man who believed in the power of kindness and respect, qualities that endeared him to many.
Pedro served his country with honor, stationed in Alaska where he oversaw ammunition and guns. He carried this sense of duty into his civilian life, characterized by a willingness to help others in need whenever the situation arose.
An avid jogger, Pedro found great joy in completing 5K and 10K runs. He loved to run and was often seen taking care of his grandchildren, sharing the same passion for fitness and adventure with them. His optimism and zest for life were evident to all who crossed his path.
Pedro is remembered fondly by his family, including his sister Mary Rodriguez and her husband Omar, his brother Joe and his wife Chris, and his brother Frankie and his wife Mercedes. He is survived by his son Dandy Perez, son Nicholas Perez, daughter Alina Perez, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.also many nephews and nieces
He was preceded in death by his father, Pedro Perez Senior, his mother, Cuca Perez, and loved ones Chris, Omar, and Nicholas.
