Pedro Lorenzo Carreon, affectionately known to many as "Petey," passed away peacefully at his home in Sweeny, Texas, on March 17, 2026. Born on September 29, 1966, Pedro lived a life marked by warmth, humor, and dedication.
Pedro devoted 27 years of his career to Chevron Phillips, where he worked as a process operator. His commitment and work ethic were evident to all who knew him. Beyond his professional endeavors, Pedro was a man of vibrant personality, renowned for his lively and sometimes crazy sense of humor. He was very friendly, always ready to share a tale or enjoy a good joke, bringing smiles and laughter to his family and friends.
His hobbies reflected his multifaceted nature. Pedro had a profound interest in guns, guitars, and grilling—activities that allowed him to express himself and connect with those around him. These interests were part of the rich tapestry of his life, representing both his passions and his ability to bring people together in camaraderie and joy.
Pedro is survived by his beloved wife, Bertha Carreon; his children, Cody and Caitlynn Carreon; and his great niece, Caze Holt. They continue to carry forward his legacy of kindness and humor, cherishing the memories shared during countless moments of storytelling and laughter.
He was preceded in death by his father, Rene Carrion Sr., his mother, Lucia Carrion, his brother, Rene Carreon Jr., and his great nephew, Casen Holt. Their memories remain close to the hearts of all who knew Pedro, serving as a foundation upon which his own life’s story was built.
Pedro’s presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit endures through the stories he told, the jokes he delighted in, and the warmth he brought to those fortunate enough to know him.
