Patricia McGinn Miller

Patricia McGinn Miller was born on March 17, 1935 in Rockfalls, Illinois and passed away peacefully on May 3, 2026 in Beaumont, Texas. She had a fall and suffered a serious head injury on April 27, 2026. She was taken to Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital and then transferred to Harbor Hospice House in Beaumont. She passed away peacefully there with her daughters, Kay Cheatham and Cindy Shimasaki at her side. She also had her grandson, Thomas Cheatham, his wife Angie, her grandson Jonathan Shimasaki and son-in-law, Mike Shimasaki with her when she made her final journey.

She was married to Edwin Richard Miller for 65 years until he passed away in 2019. She was the seventh child of eight children and is survived by her older sister, Joan Ostrander, and her younger brother, Martin McGinn.

She is also survived by her daughters Cherie Slaughter, Kay Cheatham, Cindy Shimasaki and Julie Harris. She had nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren and one great-great-great-grandchild.

She will always be remembered as a kind and gentle woman of God who loved to garden, read and take walks. She was a wonderful wife and mother and will be missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
