Norris Helms, a cherished member of his family and community, passed away on December 7, 2025, in Spring, Texas. Born on July 29, 1958, in Jackson, Mississippi, Norris lived a life marked by dedication, humor, and deep affection for his family and friends.

Norris enjoyed a long career with the post office, where he became known not just for his work ethic but also for his infectious laughter that brightened the days of those around him. A proud veteran of the Army, his service to his country was a source of pride throughout his life.

He was especially proud of being a father to his four children: Madison, Zachary, Cameron, and Miranda Helms. His love for them was evident in every moment spent together, creating fond memories that will last a lifetime. Norris found immense joy in the role of grandfather to his two granddaughters, Baylie Metcalf and Kassidy Helms. Watching his kids grow up filled him with pride, and he cherished each milestone they achieved.

Norris had a zest for life that was amplified by his interests and hobbies. He greatly enjoyed baseball and was often found sharing laughter over a drink at the local bar. Celebrating family gatherings, especially barbecues by the pool, were occasions where his humor and ability to make everyone laugh shone brightly.

He is survived by his children, Madison, Zachary, Cameron, and Miranda, as well as his beloved granddaughters, Baylie and Kassidy. His memory will also be honored by his sisters, Cathy Pesnell and Mary Foshee Helm, and his ex-wife, Karen Helms.

Though he is preceded in death by his wife, Patrice White, the love and spirit he shared with his family will continue to resonate through their lives. Norris Helms will be deeply missed, but his laughter, kindness, and love will remain in the hearts of all who knew him.
