Melvin Charles Roberson

Melvin Charles Roberson, a cherished member of his community, was born on January 17, 1968, in Houston, Texas, to Charles and Saundrus Roberson. He passed away on October 1, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love and connection that transcends generations.

Growing up in Smithaddition Harrisburg, a neighborhood renowned for its vibrant history and close-knit families, Melvin formed deep bonds that lasted throughout his life. He attended J R Harris Elementary, followed by Deady and Milby High School, where he developed many friendships that would last well beyond his school years.

Family was at the heart of Melvin's life. He was one of four children born to Charles and Saundrus Roberson, and he leaves behind a loving family, including his siblings Brenda Escobar, Marcy Jackson, and Kelvin Roberson. The warmth of Melvin's spirit extended to his nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles, all of whom are mourning his passing and celebrating his life.

Melvin's love for his community was evident in everything he did. He enjoyed the camaraderie of the Smithaddition family, who cherished him in return. His kind nature and the genuine connections he fostered made him a beloved figure in the neighborhood, where his presence will be sorely missed.

Melvin was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Roberson and Saundrus Roberson, along with his siblings Marynell Roberson, Walter Roberson, Rosa Mae Roberson and Charles Roberson II, among many others. Their memories will forever remain a part of his story, and together they celebrate a life that was rich in love and relationships.
