Megan Ross, a beloved daughter, sister, and cherished mother, passed away unexpectedly on April 8, 2026, in Pasadena, Texas. Born on June 23, 1993, in Conroe, Texas, Megan’s journey was one marked by her vibrant spirit, unyielding strength, and an ever-present devotion to her family and faith.
From the earliest moments of her life, Megan was a bright light to those around her. Her mother, Rhonda Leigh Ross, fondly recalls her as “my most beautiful miracle baby,” a phrase that captures the deep love and irreplaceable place Megan will forever hold in her heart. To her father, Charles Ross, Jr., Megan was not only his daughter, but his greatest privilege, a beacon of unwavering faith and resilience. Charles remembers her as “the strongest woman I know,” one who carried a radiant belief that “God’s got me,” and never hesitating to share her faith openly with all she met. To him, she will always be “my little ray of sunshine” – a testament to the warmth and brightness she brought into every room.
Megan’s life was rich with passions that colored her days with joy. She loved softball, horses, and dancing, finding freedom and happiness in movement and the outdoors. Shopping and fashion nourished her creative spirit, while her most profound pride and accomplishment were undoubtedly her four children: Greycen, 12; Zakiyah, 11; Zeke, 11; and Aaliyah, 8. These children were her world, the center around which her life revolved with fierce love and dedication, and along with the memories, they will continue to be her most treasured gifts she leaves behind to continue her legacy of love and sunshine.
Her professional career as a tax preparer was marked by professionalism and care, reflecting Megan’s commitment to service and helping others navigate complex challenges with grace and expertise.
Megan’s legacy extends beyond her immediate family, embraced by a wide circle of devoted relatives. She is survived by her loving mother, Rhonda Leigh Ross; her father, Charles Ross, Jr., and his wife, her bonus mom, Lisa; her siblings, Trey Ross and his wife, Sonia, Elmo Ross and his wife, Kaylie, Camellia Ross, Audriana Redman, and Chasity Paxton; and her beloved grandparents, Hank and Frances (Susie) Kinder; as well as many other relatives and countless friends. These family and friendship ties stand as a testament to the strong, nurturing community surrounding Megan throughout her life.
Megan's passing follows those who went before her, including her brother, Brandon Dewayne Koch; her maternal great-grandparents, Gordon and Edna Hobbs; and paternal grandparents, Charles (Sonny) Ross and Linda McKracken, whose memories lived on in her heart, where a measure of solace can now be found believing she is now enjoying their blessed reunion.
A memorial service to honor Megan’s life will be held on April 10, 2026, at the Houston Memorial Chapel, located at 14503 Bammel North Houston Road, Houston, TX. Friends and family will gather from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM to celebrate a life well-lived, a heart well-loved, and a spirit that will continue to inspire.
