Maggie Marie Dobbins

Maggie "MeMe" Marie Dobbins, beloved mother, grandmother, and cherished member of her community, passed from this life on August 7, 2026, at the age of 60. Born August 1, 1966, in Lubbock, Texas, Maggie’s journey through life was marked by the warmth of her spirit, generous heart, and an unwavering devotion to those she loved.

Maggie’s legacy is one woven with compassion, laughter, and an unshakable faith. Her life’s journey was one of both joy and hardship, but true to her resilient nature, she transformed every challenge into wisdom and every hardship into a lesson—lessons she imparted to her loving family and those she cared about.

Receiving her GED earlier in life, as a retired chef, homemaker, and caregiver, Maggie’s dedication extended far beyond her home. Whether sharing a delicious meal, finding joy in a good movie, or laughing with family, she treasured every opportunity to bring the people she loved together, and she created many memories that will last a lifetime. The simple pleasures she cherished were a testament to her ability to find happiness in every day alongside her relationship with Christ.

Joyful and outgoing, Maggie always brought laughter, happiness, and positive energy wherever she went. Her fun-loving and charismatic personality made her a joy to be around, and she had a special way of making people feel welcomed, loved, and accepted. She was genuine and big-hearted, and was someone who was always there when you needed her, offering understanding, love, guidance, and a listening ear without judgment. Her children and grandchildren will carry with them the lessons she taught, the priceless memories she created, and the unconditional love she gave so freely. Her greatest legacy is the love she poured out to those important to her.

Maggie is survived by her spouse, John Bradshaw; her children: Royce, Brandi, and Ashley Dobbins; her grandchildren: Jaden and Jullian Pedigo, Kingston and Ariell Dobbins, and Larmond, Lazara, and Lamira Walls, as well as her siblings: Chorsey Dobbins, Booker Dobbins, Shelia Dobbins, Lenny Dobbins, and Sheilita Hill. The bonds created with her family are unbreakable and enduring.

She joins in peaceful rest, her beloved mother, Doris Leggett; father, Booker T. Dobbins; her son, Everrette Harper Jr.; and her brother, Tommie Lee Dobbins, whose memories she carried with her throughout her life.

While our hearts are heavy with her loss, we find comfort in knowing that she is now in a better place and finally at peace. We will miss her more than words can express, but her love, laughter, and memories will live on through all of us forever.

Although we wish we could have had more time with her, we are grateful for every moment, memory, and lesson she gave us. Her grandchildren will miss their grandmother dearly and will always carry the love and memories they shared with her in their hearts. While our hearts are heavy with her loss, we find comfort in knowing that she is now in a better place and is finally at peace. We will miss her more than words can express, but her love, laughter, and memories will live on through all of us forever."

Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance and celebration of Maggie’s life. Visitation will be held on August 28, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Houston Memorial Chapel, 14503 Bammel North Houston Rd., Suite 405, Houston, TX 77014, followed by the funeral service at the same location from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. The service will be led by Preacher Chester Nealy of Temple, Texas COGIC.
