Leanna Gayle Albair, born on November 1, 1974, in Sulphur, Louisiana, left this world on December 12, 2025, in Beaumont, Texas, at the age of 51. She was a remarkable woman who embodied strength and resilience throughout her life. Leanna’s journey was not always an easy one, but she approached each challenge with a smile and a sense of humor that could brighten even the darkest days.

Educated at Bridge City High School, where she graduated in 1993, Leanna was known for her candid and vivacious personality. She had a unique ability to speak her mind, often bringing laughter to all who crossed her path.

Leanna was not just a mother; she was a confidante, a mentor, and a best friend to her beloved daughter, Ciara Simmons. Their bond was forged in love, laughter, and unwavering support. Ciara reflects on the invaluable lessons Leanna imparted: kindness, love, and the profound importance of forgiveness. These teachings were a testament to Leanna’s character, as she faced life’s hurdles with grace and determination, never allowing her circumstances to dictate her spirit.

In addition to her role as a devoted mother, Leanna was a grandmother to her cherished grandchildren: Reagan Bingham, Hunter Fregia, and Cirilla Fregia. Leanna was also a mother to her three beautiful dogs: Mazzie, ZeeZee, Izzy. she loved and cared for them like they were her children. Leanna's parents, Ellen and Winfred Albair & Stepmother Carmella Albair, alongside her brother Daniel Albair, her cousin Robbie Whitson-Albair, her aunt Peggy Albair, and her uncle Richard Albair, also survive her. Each held a special place in her heart, and her love for them radiated brightly. She found true joy in her family, and they were a constant source of pride and happiness in her life.

Beyond her family, she had wonderful close friends who she loved and cherished every moment with them dearly, Ryan Johansson, Ricky Riley Jr., Kim Emigh, and Brenda Farris. Leanna had a variety of interests that reflected her vibrant personality. She enjoyed collecting Dreamsicles, crafting, and engaging in heartfelt conversations. Each hobby was a testament to her creativity and her desire to connect with others, leaving a lasting impact on everyone she met.

She may have been confined to a wheelchair, but her spirit soared high above the challenges she faced.
