Born on August 21, 1990, to Carlos and Carmen (Sibrian) Alvarez, Josue was raised in Houston and remained a proud lifelong resident of Spring, Texas. He graduated from Klein High School in 2009 and later attended Universal Technical Institute, which led to a successful career at Fred Haas Toyota Country while preparing to serve his country in the military.
Lance Corporal Josue Antonio Alvarez proudly served in the United States Marine Corps and was stationed at Camp Pendleton in San Diego. He served his country with honor and dedication and was honorably discharged in 2019.
Josue is survived by his loving partner, Laura, and her daughter, Madi, both of whom held a special place in his heart; his sister, Maria Gentle, and her husband, Josh Gentle, along with their children, Grace, Hannah, and Jaxon; his brother, Emanuel Alvarez, and Alisa Gonzales, along with their children, Jordan, Aiden, and Alaia; as well as countless close friends whom he considered family.
Alvarez took great pride in the relationships he built throughout his life and lived by the belief that “If you’re my friend, you’re family.” He was known for his generous spirit, unwavering loyalty, and selfless heart — always willing to give the shirt off his back to help someone in need and making sure those around him were cared for before himself.
Over the years, Josue developed a deep love for the children in his life, who constantly reminded him of what mattered most. His kindness, strength, humor, and unconditional love for his family and friends will forever be remembered and deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
