Jesus said I will make you fishers of men. Matthew 4:19

John Anthony Robinson, (AKA) Moe, was born on April 15,1964 to Tommie Jean and James. He attended the local HISD schools.

John Anthony received Jesus Christ at an early age. His mother and grandmother saw him attending church and Sunday School. "Train up a child in the way he should go; and when he is old, he will not depart from it." (Proverbs 22:6) He took with him the teaching and training he received from both his mother and grandmother everywhere he went. John Anthony was gifted with an encouraging ministry. He tried to speak kind words and encourage others who were down on their luck.

John loved fishing. He went once with his brothers but was not invited back. He talked too much while fishing and ran the fish away. He was a great chef and loved to cook, and loved playing pity pat, dominoes, watching old westerns he grew up on, Kingfisher movies, and football and basketball.

Moe had a special place in his heart for Robbie Lewis, where a strong bond was formed. Most importantly he loved with all of his heart, his daughter and his treasured grandchildren & great grandchildren. He especially loved his family when they would have cookouts and celebrate special times, John would always ask the host "What do I need to bring?”.

John's final employment was at Rapid Lube Express and Auto located at 8449 Tidwell Rd. Houston, Texas 77028.

On Thursday, January 15, 2026, at 11:08 am, John answered the call and entered into enteral rest. He was preceded in death by his mother, Tommie Jean Davis, and his sisters: Arlene Flowers and Agreda Robinson.

John’s memory will be forever cherished by his daughter, Krystal Grant; his grandchildren: Reginald, Javrion, Kayelin, Kristin, and London; his great grandchildren: Jayden, Kaysen, Kamari, Karsyn, Ador, and Javrion Jr; his partner and special friend, Robbie Lewis; his brothers, Donald Ray (Glenda) and RD (Jackie); his uncle, Harold Robinson (Elaine); his aunts: Brenda (BJ) Pettus, Colleen R.
