In Loving Memory of Jeff Zielinski

It is with deep sorrow and love that we announce the passing of Jeff Zielinski, who departed this life on July 27th, at the age of 68. A devoted husband, proud father, doting grandfather, and dedicated brother, Jeff lived a life full of love, laughter, and adventure.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Rebecca Zielinski, sharing a lifetime of love and partnership. He was a dedicated and loving father to his daughter Kayce Shelley and her family — Aaron, Eli, and Arlo; his son Jeffery Junior and wife Devon; his son Jonathan and wife Alissa, and their son Arthur; and of course his loyal dog Lucy.

He also leaves behind his siblings, Joni Morris and her husband Mitch, Julie Maduzia and Paul Buening and his wife Karen, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends all over the world, who will miss him dearly.

Jeff was a constant presence on the sidelines, a passionate supporter of his children’s sports teams, always coaching and cheering them on with pride. In recent years, he found great joy in exploring the world, spending the last five years of his life on cruises and adventures that took him far and wide. Yet, some of his most peaceful and cherished moments were spent fishing at his home on the Bolivar Peninsula, where the water brought him peace and connection.

Jeff will be remembered for his big personality, his deep love for family, and his ability to pull you in with his animated, and sometimes embellished, story telling. His memory lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

A service to honor his life will be held on August 23rd, at J. Gilligan's, in Arlington, Texas.
