Jeffrey Wayne Wagner

August 12, 1970 — February 14, 2026

San Antonio

Jeffrey Wayne Wagner, a vibrant spirit and an eternal beacon of joy, gracefully departed this world on February 14, 2026, in San Antonio, Texas. Born on August 12, 1970, in Victoria, Texas, Jeffrey lived to spread warmth and laughter wherever he went. His heart was as expansive as the Texas sky, filled to the brim with a love for family and friends that knew no bounds.

Those who had the pleasure of knowing Jeffrey will fondly remember him as the life of the party. With laughter as his melody and a twinkle of mischief in his eye, he became renowned for his uncanny ability to engage others with his playful mimicry of Donald Duck, often leaving his friends in fits of laughter. Whether sharing stories or cracking jokes, there was never a dull moment in his presence.

An aficionado of action-packed films and classic westerns, Jeffrey took particular delight in the timeless escapades of "Gunsmoke" and the comedic misadventures of "Gilligan's Island." This passion for engaging narratives mirrored his own zest for life, one in which he was often seen wielding darts and cue sticks, ready to challenge any opponent at pool.

With a heart that thrived by the waterside, Jeffrey's greatest joy came from his beloved hobby of fishing. The tranquil hours spent casting his line into the depths of the water were punctuated with dreams of reeling in the biggest catch—an aspiration that symbolized both his adventurous spirit and his unwavering hopefulness.

Jeffrey’s family will deeply grieve the loss of their beloved son, brother, and devoted uncle. He leaves behind a circle entwined in love: his father, Jeff Wagner; his mother, Betty Lee Shedd; his cherished son, Justin Wayne Wagner; his sisters, Betty Ann Gainer, Carol Wagner, and Jennifer Sims; along with other family members and countless friends. Each of them carries with them a treasure of memories that spark joy amid their sorrow.

In addition to his family, Jeffrey is reunited with his sister, Laqquita Sue Wagner, who was taken too soon by a drunk driver when she was just four years old, born on Christmas Day. Despite her absence, the bond they shared remains an indelible part of his legacy, illuminating their shared joy and laughter that resonates through the memories of those who loved him.

As beloved friends and family gather to celebrate his life, visitation will take place on February 20, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Houston Memorial Chapel, followed by a heartfelt funeral service from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the same location. In these moments, Jeffrey’s laughter will echo, reminding us all of the joy he brought into our lives and the light that now guides him.

Though he may have departed this earthly realm, Jeffrey Wayne Wagner’s spirit dances on in every laugh, every cherished memory, and every heartfelt story shared among those who loved him.
