James Wayne Humphrey, age 64, of Orange, Texas passed away peacefully at his home Saturday afternoon, February 28, 2026. He was born on January 9th, 1962 in Mobile, Alabama . James was the beloved son of Leticia Page Harmon and James Elbert Humphrey.

James was proceeded in death by his father, James Elbert Humphrey; his brother, Joe O'Neal Humphrey; his sister, Cindy Gail Riggs; and his sister, Lisa Ann Humphrey. He is survived by his wife Patricia; his mother, Leticia Page Harmon and step father James Harmon of Pineville, South Carolina; his brother, Donald Monroe of North Charleston; his sister, Theresa Steed and her husband John of Pineville, South Carolina; his brother in law, Ronnie Riggs of Cross, South Carolina; his stepson Paul Crail of Orange, Texas; his daughter Christina Bradley and her husband Joey of Orange, Texas; his daughter Brandi Humphrey (Melton ) of Orange, Texas; and his grandchildren, nieces and nephews.James loved his family and friends.He cherished every moment that he spent with them. James worked as a maintenance person at The Heritage Center in Orange, Texas. Earlier in life he was a head chef at Whites Cafeteria. He enjoyed fishing and watching Nascar every weekend when it was on. He was kind and loving. He was a generous person. He was always helping others. He was fond of animals. He loved making his famous meatloaf and his delicious homemade spaghetti sauce for everyone.As a request by James, he will be cremated. His ashes will be scattered at his favorite fishing spot. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
