Elliot William Inberg, 91, was born on October 11, 1933, in Hub City in Clay County, South Dakota, to William and Pearl (Swedeen)Inberg. He graduated from Vermillion High School in 1951 and worked for local farmers before earning his art degree from the University of South Dakota in 1960.

A talented athlete, Elliot played three seasons of junior league baseball and five years with the Centerville town team. He proudly recalled playing against the legendary Roger Maris during that time.

Professionally, Elliot was a gifted artist and jewelry designer who worked for several prominent companies. His accomplishments include designing the 1977 Super Bowl ring for the Oakland Raiders and the South Dakota state bicentennial medal. He also created numerous service awards for organizations such as McDonald’s and the Franklin Mint.

An avid golfer, Elliot continued to enjoy the game despite physical limitations, demonstrating determination and a lifelong competitive spirit. A devoted Texas Aggies fan, he passionately supported their football program and attended many games over the years.

Elliot was preceded in death by his parents, William and Pearl Inberg, and his brother, Rodney. He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Nancy; his son, Nick Inberg and wife Michelle of Cypress, Texas; and their children Olivia, Nick, and Mia. He is also survived by his daughter, Margret Riley of Conroe, Texas; and her children, Michael and Meridith. Other survivors include his siblings; Betty (Inberg) Dahlin of Rapid City, South Dakota, Darlow Inberg, a retired Army colonel in San Antonio, and Connie (Inberg) Richards of Beresford, South Dakota. He leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Elliot will be deeply missed by his loved ones and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
