Elisa Silva

Elisa Monge Silva fell asleep in death on March 23, 2025. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years, Miguel Angel Silva II and her much beloved great granddaughter Mikkelle Ann Rodriguez, as well as her former daughter-in-law Betty Kinsey and her loving husband and friend Rusty Kinsey. She was also preceded in death by her older siblings: Guillermo, America, Emilio and Jose. She is survived by her younger brother Domingo Monge Jr. and his wife Esther.

 She is also survived by her daughter Leslie Ann and her son Miguel Angel Silva III and his wife Kathi. She is also survived by her three grandchildren: Miguel Silva IV, Elizabeth Ferguson and Kimberly Stephens along with seven great grandchildren: Serenity, Angela, Kayla, Joshua, Delilah, Aurora and Carter and one great- great granddaughter, Melody. 

Elisa was born Elisa Monge Rivera in Rio Piedras, now part of San Juan, Puerto Rico on February 28, 1934 to Domingo Monge Hernandez and Maria Josefa Rivera Robles. She was a later in life child born 22 years after her oldest sibling. She was married to Miguel Silva on May 22, 1954 and they had two children together; Mike and Leslie. She was a wonderful wife and mother and had a career as a caring nurse at Pilgrim State Hospital in New York.Elisa symbolized her dedication to Jehovah God by water baptism in 1962 in New York and was a faithful servant for over 63 years. Her service to Jehovah was her greatest joy and she spent many hours talking to friends and neighbors about Kingdom blessings. Her future hope is the hope of a resurrection to God's Kingdom on a paradise earth (John 11:25, Revelation 21:3,4) Elisa was known as a loving and generous person, who always felt deep empathy for those less fortunate. We look forward to being reunited with her again in the resurrection. Words cannot express how deeply she will be missed by her family and friends. We would like to express our thanks for the many comforting messages, prayers and all other expressions of kindness shown.
