Denny Edgar Marshall, 90, went to be with his Lord and Savior on November 7, 2025, in Houston, Texas. Born on November 21, 1934, in Jennings, Louisiana, he lived a long and accomplished life marked by dedication to his family and a distinguished professional career.
Denny was the son of Edgar Denny Marshall and Gladys Longman Marshall. He pursued higher education at Louisiana State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering in 1958. His academic achievements laid the foundation for a long and successful career at Standard Oil/Amoco Oil Company.
From 1958 to 1964, Denny served honorably in the Air National Guard of Texas and the Reserve of the United States Air Force, attaining the rank of Airman First Class.
Denny was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Betty Marie Orr Marshall. The love they shared formed the cornerstone of their family life. He leaves behind a legacy of affection through his children: Susan M. Arrazola and her husband Alvaro J. Arrazola; Tracey M. Posey and her husband Marcus D. Posey; and stepson Arthur N. Kelm, II. He was a proud grandfather to Sofia M. Arrazola.
Denny instilled the values of integrity, perseverance, and loyalty in all those around him, leaving a permanent mark on those who knew him.
A memorial service will be announced at a future date. Interment will take place at Sweeny Cemetery in Sweeny, Texas. We pray his memory brings comfort and strength to all who mourn his passing.
