Dennis Lee
Harrold
December 25, 1969 – April 25, 2026
Dennis Lee Harrold, affectionately known as “Denny” to those who loved him, passed away unexpectedly on April 25, 2026, in Willis, Texas. Born on December 25, 1969, in Arizona, Denny lived in California, Nebraska, Colorado, Kansas, and Texas throughout his life. He lived a vibrant life marked by his generous spirit and unmistakable presence. He was someone you couldn’t miss—the loudest voice in the room, with a heart that cared deeply for the people around him.
Denny was a man of many talents and wore many hats over the years. He worked in granite installation, the truck and trailer industry, and in automatic door services. No matter the job, he brought dedication, hard work, and pride to everything he did. But more than anything, he was a devoted husband, son, father, grandfather, and soon-to-be great-grandfather—roles he valued most and considered his greatest accomplishments. He was just shy of seeing his youngest daughter be the first in the Harrold family to graduate college.
As a young man, Denny attended Cherry Creek Christian Academy in Colorado, where he was known for his competitive spirit, athleticism, and ability to light up a room with his humor and personality. He participated in gymnastics and football and later brought that same energy into coaching his oldest daughter’s basketball and volleyball team.
Denny loved sports, grilling, car races, boxing, and being surrounded by family and friends. He was a proud fan of the Denver Broncos and rarely missed a chance to cheer them on. Sundays were especially meaningful, often spent simply enjoying time together with family and friends, filled with warmth and laughter. He loved spending summers at the Lake of the Ozarks, where he enjoyed time on the water, listening to music, and taking part in firework battles on the Fourth of July.
If you were looking for Denny, you would most likely find him behind a grill, telling stories, making people laugh, and enjoying the moment. He was generous, funny, passionate, and completely himself. You never quite knew what he was going to say or do next, and that’s something everyone who knew him will always remember.
Denny is survived by his father, David Harrold; his beloved wife, Debbie Harrold; his daughters, Miranda Bakarich and Maddie Harrold; his six grandchildren, Amelia, Gabriel, Arabella, Julian, Daniel, and Cash; and his loyal dog, Bruce. He is also survived by a large extended family, and a wide circle of good friends who he considered family, they will remember him for his spirit, humor, and the joy he brought into their lives. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sandi Graff, and his sister, Michelle.
His passing has left a deep hole in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. While this loss was unexpected, we find comfort in knowing he is at peace and reunited with loved ones. Denny will be remembered for the laughter he brought, the love he gave, and the way he made life feel a little fuller just by being in it.
There will be a celebration of life May 9th. 4pm to 7pm. At Lotus Lounge Yoga and Wellness Studio. 13260 fm 1097, Willis, Texas 77318
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to help with the expenses associated with this unexpected loss.
