Dennis M. Craig, age 73, of Bacliff, Texas, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2026, at HCA Clearlake Medical Center in Webster, TX.
Dennis was born on February 8, 1952, in Houston, Texas, to Othal Dale Craig of Teague Texas and Leta Marie Fields of Houston Texas . He was an only child, but he grew up surrounded by many cousins whom he cherished deeply and considered his brothers and sisters.
Dennis served his country as a United States Army veteran. After his service, he worked in the industrial industry, working as a welder, machinist and truck driver.
Outside of work, Dennis found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved riding horses and felt most at peace near the water. Boats and Galveston Bay, and the time spent outdoors brought him happiness and freedom, and those memories will forever be cherished by his loved ones.
On January 2, 1993, Dennis began a 33-year journey of marriage with Linda Gail Craig, marked by laughter, happiness, and countless treasured moments. Dennis will be missed more than words can express.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Linda Gail Craig; his children, Christina (Steve) Strban, Grant (Elvira) Craig, James Craig, and his stepson Timothy (Kim) Thomas.
He is also survived by his grandchildren: Daniel (Lauren) Sandefer, Trendell (Jocelyn) McWhirter, Gage (Makayla) McWhirter, Michael Aiden Craig, Randi Renee Craig, Dylan Craig, Alexander Craig, Sarah Grace Craig, Caroline Craig, and Jacob Craig.
His step-grandchildren include Sean Thomas, Katy Thomas, Dillon Thomas, Blaze Thomas, Jessica Alsing, and Jonathan Alsing.
His great-grandchildren: Annilynn, Bella, and Maddie Sandefer, and Emellio McWhirter.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents and stepparents, Othal and Inez Craig, Marie and Mike Kurshus; his sons Dennis Michael Craig Jr. and Shane Michael Craig; and his stepdaughter Melanie Alsing.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
