Darryl Ashley Lynn, age 63, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 29, 2026, surrounded by his family.

Born on February 25, 1963, Darryl embraced life with a love for family, music, and the beauty of the Texas Hill Country. He found happiness in the simple things, driving the open roads, listening to his favorite songs, sharing stories, and spending time with the people he loved most.

Above all, Darryl was a proud father and grandfather. His children and grandchildren were the center of his world, and nothing brought him greater joy than being with his family. The love he had for them will remain a lasting part of the legacy he leaves behind.

If you knew Darryl, chances are you heard one of his stories. Whether it made you laugh, taught a lesson, or had grown just a little with each retelling, he had a gift for keeping people gathered around and smiling. Those stories will continue to be shared for generations, keeping his spirit alive in the hearts of those who loved him.

Darryl was preceded in death by his father, Claude Johnson Lynn, and his brother, Floyd Earl Dimitt Jr.

He leaves behind his mother, Betty Dimitt; his stepfather, Floyd Dimitt; his sister, Debbie Lynn McGuire; his children, Misty Craig, Darryl Lynn, and Kimberly Lynn Cuevas; and his treasured grandchildren, Paisley Lynn Lister, Parker Cuevas, and Mateo Cuevas. He also leaves behind many extended family members and friends who will forever cherish the memories they shared with him.

Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing Darryl’s final moments were peaceful and spent surrounded by those who loved him most. His stories will continue to be told, his favorite songs will always bring him to mind, and the beauty of the Texas Hill Country will forever remind his family of the place that brought him peace.

His life will be remembered with love, gratitude, and countless stories that will continue to be shared for years to come.
