Crystal Denise Burrell

Crystal was born on May 3rd, 1963 to Delores and James Burrell at Presbyterian Hospital in Philadelphia Pennsylvania. She graduated from Landsdowne Aldan High School class of 1981. She moved around both with her immediate family and on her own living the life she chose. Not all of them were kind to her.

Crystal Burrell passed away on Friday, June 19th, at the age of 63. She was a sister, a daughter, and a friend — complicated, deeply human, and so very loved.

Crystal was kind, resourceful, sensitive, and funny. She had a sweetness to her that the people who knew her will never forget. She also lived a hard life, and carried weight that was not always easy for her or for those around her. Through every season, her family chose her — because she was theirs.

Crystal is survived by her mother, Delores; her stepfather, Paul; her siblings, Leroy, Max, Valerie, and Dawn; her sisters-in-law, Michele and Darlene; her aunts, Esther, Celestine, Ellen, and Mildred; and a host of nieces and nephews who will carry her memory forward.

She is free now. And she is loved — still, and always.
