Craig Allen Mann Jr., affectionately known as CJ, was born on October 26, 1989, in Houston, Texas. It is with profound sadness that we announce his passing on December 6, 2025, at the age of 36, in Spring Branch, Houston. He left this world peacefully in his sleep, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, humor, and creative brilliance.
CJ dedicated eight years of his career to Silverback Distribution as a warehouse and logistics manager. His ability to transform challenges into solutions made a significant difference in the operations of the company, where he was regarded not only for his dedication but also for his problem-solving skills that left a lasting impact on his team.
He graduated from Spring Woods High School in 2008 and went on to serve honorably in the United States Army—a proud moment that was among his most cherished accomplishments. Those who knew CJ describe him as a kind and welcoming heart, often referred to as a gentle giant. He possessed a sharp, sarcastic sense of humor and a big heart that became more apparent the closer one grew to him. Known for his bluntness, CJ was also a remarkably talented artist whose creativity found expression through his drawings and paintings.
CJ's love for family and friends was immense. His sisters, Rachel Lea, Stephanie Mann Reynoso, and Jennifer Lea Urbina, remember him as a loyal brother with a gentle spirit. In heartfelt words, Jennifer expressed her profound love and admiration for her brother, cherishing their shared memories and the incredibly close bond they developed, despite not being raised together. His connection with those around him was deep and meaningful, creating an enduring impact on their lives.
His friendships were equally treasured. Known for his incredible ability to bring people together, CJ was described as a bright light in various social circles. Friends like Steven Griffin and Dustin Galindo reflected on the decades-long bond they shared, highlighting his kindness and the special joy he brought into their lives. His laughter and genuine nature created an environment of comfort, offering solace and support whenever needed.
CJ's beloved dog, Gizmo, was a source of joy and companionship in his life, illustrating the profound love he extended to all creatures. His passions included reading and collecting books, playing video games, and enjoying anime, along with a particular fondness for food, especially mashed potatoes—his all-time favorite.
Although CJ has departed from this world, the memories he created will continue to live on in the hearts of many. He is survived by his beloved dog Gizmo, his grandmother Patricia Ann Mann, and an extensive family, including numerous siblings, brothers-in-law, nieces, and nephews who all carry his spirit forward.
Craig Allen Mann Jr. will always be remembered for his unyielding kindness, creativity, and the laughter that he spread among those fortunate enough to call him friend or family. He will be sorely missed, but his legacy of compassion and artistry will endure as a beacon of hope and joy for all who knew him.
