Connie Denise Corner Crowder

December 30, 1959 — February 9, 2026

Liverpool

Connie Denise Corner Crowder, fondly known as “Nana”, graced the world with her presence on December 30, 1959, in Huntsville, Texas, and made her exit from this chaotic life on February 9, 2026, in Lake Jackson, Texas. She lived a life full of ups and downs, just like any spirited woman would.

Connie, a daughter, a sister, a mother, and a grandmother, marched to the beat of her own drum. She is survived by her two daughters: Sonny-ray Merrell, of Coldspring, Texas, and Lynsey Osteen and husband Brian of Liverpool, Texas. You can bet there was never a dull moment in Nana’s household!

Her grandchildren—Kenyon Merrell (Jami) of Cleveland, Texas; Grayce Merrell (Kenyon) of Coldspring, Texas; Kayson Merrell of Coldspring, Texas; Alexis Osteen of Houston, Texas; Montana Mosley, Brianna Osteen (Hayden), and Morgan Osteen (Gio) all of Liverpool, Texas—could fill an auditorium with the stories they'd tell about their wildly entertaining grandmother.

And let’s not forget the great-grandchildren: Elias, Isaiah, Kohen, and Wrenley. There’s enough joy in that lineage to fuel a small city. Of course, they also probably picked up a few traits from Nana as well—a little too much sass and a stubborn streak, no doubt!

Connie’s family tree also boasts her brother, Mark Corner, and his wife Wendy, who reside in Huntsville, Texas. Her nieces, Lacey and Chloe Corner, also of Huntsville, Texas.

On the flip side, Connie has reunited with some family in the great beyond. She is preceded in death by her father, Blufard Vestel Corner Jr. of Huntsville, Texas, her mother, Patricia Lea Ellis, and stepfather, Phillip Ellis of Pearland, Texas. She also joins her brother, Larry Joe Corner of Huntsville, Texas, and her beloved grandparents: Virginia and Charles Cochran from Zachary, Louisiana, and Blufard Vestel Corner Sr., and Betty Lou Corner of Huntsville, Texas.

Connie Denise Corner Crowder’s legacy is one of life lived fully, a woman who didn’t back down and made her mark on everyone that crossed her path. While she may have left this world, her spirited presence continues to echo in the hearts of her loved ones—who will undoubtedly share eclectic tales that could entertain a room. Rest well, Nana you will be missed.
