Carlos Perez Vasquez

Houston

With heavy hearts and deep love, Carlos Perez Vasquez, passed from this life on June 18, 2026 in Houston, Texas guided by the angels into eternal rest, at the age of 69. He was born in Mexico, March 5, 1957, to parents, Refugio Vasquez and Antonia Perez, both who instilled in him the values of strength, hard work, and devotion to family. Values that define a man who will be forever remembered for his integrity, resilience, and unwavering principles.

Carlos, a very proud Mexican man, was strong-minded, determined, and deeply family-oriented. Though he could be stubborn at times, his heart was generous, and he was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. His presence in many ways brought comfort, laughter, and wisdom to those around him.

Throughout his life, Carlos was a jack of all trades, he worked in construction & remodeling, drove 18-wheelers across long distances, and applied his skills as a mechanic. There was little he couldn’t fix, build, or figure out. His hands told the story of a life spent working hard to provide and care for his loved ones. In his younger years, he found joy in dancing and spending time with his wife and family at the flea market—simple moments that became cherished memories. Carlo's love for life showed in these moments of laughter, music, and togetherness - and his love and fascination for eagles further reflected how he saw life, teaching him to never run from a storm... but soar through it, looking ahead but always noticing what truly mattered.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Catherine Morales Vasquez, and his children: Joanna C. Vasquez and David Morales, and preceded in death by his daughter, Joanna J. Vasquez, whom he now joins in eternal peace. He was a proud grandfather to Lila, Caleb, Mirna, Andrea, David Jr., Adrian, Tarina, Andrayanna, Mia, and Sophia, and his legacy lives on through each of them, in their smiles, their strength, and the love he poured into their lives. He is also survived by his brothers: Juan Antonio, Roberto, Julio, Martin, Francisco, and Moises, and now enjoying his family reunion with his siblings who transitioned before him: Pedro, Lupe, Refugio, Mauro, and Juanita.

Carlos will be truly missed, but his memory will forever remain alive in the hearts of all who knew him and loved him. One of his most cherished sayings was: “Duerme con los Angelitos" (“Sleep with the Angels.”) So today, we hold tightly to those words, finding peace in knowing he's now resting exactly as he believed and in eternal peace.
