Candace Michelle Hood

Candace Michelle Hood born to Byron and Cynthia Adkins on May 3 1982 in Texas City,TX passed away on September 2 2025 in Angleton TX. She was 43 years old.

Candace was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister and soon to be grandmother whose presence brought warmth and joy to those around her.  She is lovingly rembered by her husband Philip Hood, her daughter Ariah Dawson and son-in-law Logan Dawson and with great anticipation and love she looked forward to the arrival of her first granddaughter Ava Fawn.  Her mother Cynthia Adkins, brother Caleb Adkins and sister-in-law Bobbie Adkins, nephews Hayden and Ezra Adkins,  nieces Kennedy and Aubree Adkins also mourn her passing.  Candace's extended family included Aunts, Uncles and a host of cousins who will cherish her memory.  She was preceded in death by her father Byron Adkins.  

Candace held dear her faith as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. She went to sleep in death with the hope of everlasting life in a paradise on earth through the resurrection by means of Jesus Christ, a belief that brought her comfort and strength throughout her life.  

Among the many joys in Candace's life was the companionship of her beloved cat Kiwi. Her gentle spirit and nurturing ways were evident in the way she cared for those around her both human and animal alike.
