On June 19, 1962, Allen LaVance Lane was born to Willie and Virginia Lane in Houston, Texas.
Allen accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age. He attended Ross Shaw Sterling HS. while working part-time at Sage Department Store, where he met Robin Lewis in 1980. Later, together they had a son and then parted ways for 3 ½ years. During this time, Allen had a daughter. Allen and Robin reunited, married, and had a daughter. He joined Windsor Village in 1988. Allen chose a career in security/federal security and then in the trucking business. He was active with everything his kids did. He was a coach and a den leader, and when they were in school and played sports, he was always there cheering them on. He loved spending time with his family and going fishing.
Allen is preceded in death by Virginia Howard (mother), Ever Baines (maternal grandmother), Alcano Howard Sr. (maternal grandfather) Lazelle Lane (paternal grandmother), Willie Lane Sr. (paternal grandfather).
Allen leaves to cherish his memories his wife Robin Lane, three children, Lance Lane/Sharon, Lanéy Lane, and Ashley Scott/Brandon, three grandsons Jarvis Ward, Évian Lane, and Landon Lane, one granddaughter Nandie Scott, Father Willie Lane Jr., three sisters Deanna Lane, Regina Young/Keith, Keidra Lane, Stepbrother Damon Gordon, and a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, other relatives, and friends.
